The Story Line . . .

Dames at Sea is a delightful journey into the innocent and hopeful world of the not too distant past, displayed with all the positive energy that could only have sprung from the optimistic outlook of that era.

Thoroughly wrapped in the nostalgia of the age of the Busby Berkeley musicals, this is the story of Ruby, a hick girl from Utah, who arrives in New York to get a job as a chorus girl, and at the opening of the show, takes over the leading role from the indisposed star and steals the show - all in one day!

The actors have to find somewhere else to perform after the demolition of their theatre. The leading lady knows the captain of a battleship and persuades him to let them put on the show on his ship.

Loaded with lively music and dance, and a script that is slightly tongue in cheek, but far from overdone, Dames at Sea provides an evening of delightful entertainment for anyone. An evening full of fun - and lots of it!
