"Lucky Stiff"

Finished running on October 12

"The work of writers who might give
their generation it's own "Bells Are Ringing"
or "Pajama Game." -- New York Times

Opening July 30 1997 -- Lucky Stiff!

"A real giggle and guffaw show, long on craziness,
full of fun, demanding nothing more than that you have
a good time.  And you will!" --- United Press International

The Story Line . . .

This musical murder mystery farce propels Harry Witherspoon, a mild mannered English shoe clerk, into a lunatic mix of a murdered Atlantic City croupier, his severely near-sighted jilted mistress, her henpecked optometrist brother, and several hundred (offstage) dogs.

Witherspoon will inherit $6,000,000 if he can successfully vacation as his uncle, the late-departed croupier, in Monte Carlo for a week.  If he doesn't pull off his uncle's dream vacation, the money goes to the Universal Dog Home of Brooklyn -- and if there's one thing in life Harry hates, it's dogs!

With fine tooled precision, a cast of ten whirls through a multitude of roles as Harry and his nemesis, Annabel Click, a representative from the Universal Dog Home hounding his every step, experience Monte Carlo as only two bickering soon-to-be lovers can.

With a tuneful score and well-oiled plot, plus the ultimate happy ending, "Lucky Stiff" guarantees hilarity for one and all.
